What is Total Connect?

Honeywell has introduced the Total Connect suite of digital communication services—a unique new offering that lets you utilize the Internet, PDAs, cell phones, cameras and more to stay connected to your home and business.

Total Connect consists of basic and enhanced services. Basic services include Short Message Service (SMS), web-based remote system control and e-mail notification of events. Once logged onto a secure website, you can control your security system and conduct other tasks via a virtual keypad. You can also receive important alerts through various text messaging devices, including cell phones and PDAs, and be notified of activity in various areas of your home or business.

With enhanced services, you can receive video notification of system events. When adding cameras to your system, a picture or series of pictures can be sent to a PDA, cell phone or e-mail address upon an alarm or a pre-programmed event. You can also initiate this process by requesting info from a mobile device or viewing live, streaming video through a web browser.

The ability to be directly connected to your system is a major advantage because it simplifies and streamlines the way you interact with your home or business on a day-to-day basis by intelligently utilizing everything today’s technology has to offer.
